Stay Flee Get Lizzy: Understanding the "Lizzy" Movement

If you're a devoted UK street music listener you're likely to have come across several songs released under "Stay Flee Get Lizzy," featuring some of the dopest rappers the UK has to offer. Chances are you've also seen Lizzy Clothing in music videos and on the streets.

Even listeners that are less in tune with the street music scene have almost certainly come across Stay Flee Get Lizzy bangers such as "Ay Caramba" (ft. Fredo x Young T & Bugsey) and "2 Cups" (ft. Fredo x Pocaan x Tory Lanez). Nevertheless, questions about the "Lizzy" movement are quite common, especially amongst a younger generation that may be understandably less familiar with exactly who rooted that word (slang for money with Queen Elizabeth's face on it) into UK street culture.

Stay Flee Get Lizzy is a music production house, headed by Dion Hamilton AKA Sincere Lizzy. Sincere is a very well-known ex-rapper, thriving between the mid-noughties and early 2010's, and has since progressed on to become an established artist manager and successful label owner of Young Entrepreneurs Records, which Stay Flee Get Lizzy is signed to.

It's worth noting that this very label released the street bangers he dropped

independently as a rapper such as "Reppin London" (ft. D Double E x Scorcher) and the Channel U hit "That's Not Gangsta". It has since gone on to release songs that have charted and even gone platinum under the Stay Flee Get Lizzy banner.

So, who (or what) is Stay Flee Get Lizzy? Well, along with Sincere Lizzy, the Stay Flee Get Lizzy team is made up of two in-house engineers, Doocas and Freeze, with Finn Wigan playing an important role as the producer. Doocas and Sincere are also capable producers, contributing to that side of things too.

Although Sincere is now an executive and no longer raps, he recognises the importance of connecting with an artist. Whilst this can be a challenge from a solely executive position, Stay Flee Get Lizzy allows him to level with artists as a peer, artistically invested in the outcome of each release and collab.

Although many put the Stay Flee Get Lizzy Brand into the same bag as Lizzy Clothing, the two are actually completely separate entities. Since the age of sixteen, Sincere has had a hand in the fashion business, starting with his first company "Fresh to Death," where he'd purchase popular American apparel in New York and sell it in the UK for twice the amount. He later got into manufacturing merchandised clothing for UK artists, a space he is still currently active in via Blanks Factory, a company he co-founded with his business partner Jonny.

Lizzy Clothing has also released a number of promotional merchandise pieces in association with artists, including Knucks, Kwengface, and even the late Pop Smoke. However, the brand has never been limited to that approach, and has released numerous seasons worth of stylish streetwear and luxury leisurewear over the years.

culture that has set an example for many around him and all those that came up after him. He has always championed ownership and promoted the importance of having a business savvy mindset, whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes. Many are unaware that Sincere bought into Kick Game at the same time Fredo did, and as a result became the Creative Director of the sneaker and streetwear giant.

At a time when many British urban artists became disillusioned and demotivated within the music industry, Sincere simply pivoted and kept building using his experience, connections and curiosity to his advantage.

He is now an established serial entrepreneur, an influential industry figure and a family man on top of all that. Yep, he is currently engaged to British supermodel Jourdan Dunn!
